Principles of Human Research: this course reviews the field of translational clinical research.

What the course covers

• Experimental design and the investigative tools used in translational research.
• Human genetics and pharmacology, with a focus on statistics and epidemiology.
• Genomic information and drug discovery, and the way findings move from the laboratory to human studies.

The course is taught with the same collaborative method used across the program. Participants work in groups, discuss the material with faculty, and apply each topic to their own research interests.
